HA!!
lovin’ this!
Today’s recipe is Monkey Bread. My mom used to make this when we were little, but she didn’t make it all the time…it was kind of a special treat. But I loved it, so here is her recipe.
Ingredients:
4 pkg (tubes) Pillsbury dinner rolls
1 cup sugar
1 T cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick of butter/margarine
1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Separate the dinner rolls and cut each one into fourths. Mix together sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough into balls and coat with cinnamon/sugar mixture. Place in greased bundt pan. Mix together the brown sugar, butter/margarine and vanilla in a pan on the stovetop. Cook until it boils, then pour over the dough balls. Bake for 30 minutes. Pull apart and enjoy!
OK, so I’ve skipped the last couple days, but here’s another recipe. I know this isn’t much of a recipe but it brings back memories. See, my grandma doesn’t bake. She never has. Our birthday cakes when she was in charge were piles of Hostess twinkies or cupcakes or ding dongs with candles stuck in them. Her “homemade” cookies come from the grocery store…except for these. Trust me, they’re really easy or she wouldn’t make them.
Ingredients:
graham crackers
store-bought frosting
That’s all you need. Guess what you do? Put the frosting on one half of a graham cracker, then put the other half of the graham cracker on top. Enjoy!
caught part of this yesterday over lunch and watched the pilot and 2nd ep today…lovin’ this show!

So, here’s my easy, breezy goulash recipe. You need a 12 inch skillet that can go in the oven to make this one.
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 qt. tomato juice
2 cups uncooked pasta (smaller noodles work best)
Italian seasoning to taste
grated mozzarella or parmesan to taste
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Brown the ground beef and onions in the pan on the stovetop. Drain the grease. Add tomato juice, pasta, and seasoning, then stir. Bake for 25-40 minutes. Add cheese and let melt slightly before serving.

I keep seeing it on TV and I really like her version so I’m posting it.
STOP USING RGB COLORS FOR ANY PRINT ADVERTISING.
STOP.
IT’S CMYK.
I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHY YOU PERSIST.
AH-MEN!
this is a huge huge source of frustration for me on a daily basis.
My frustration on this is opposite…we want RGB for the TV commercials we produce and are frustrated when we get CMYK (not that it’s a hard fix). I also love when the clients say, “Can’t you just take my logo off my website/business card/etc.?” Yes we can, but it doesn’t look pretty on TV.
This is a recipe I got from my cousin Jamie. She just gave me the ingredients and said to just kind of throw it all together. I’m going to put in the amounts that I use, but fair warning, this makes a TON of salsa…like pot-luck amounts of salsa. Experiment with amounts and enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 med-lg cucumber
2 bell peppers (any color)
1/2 onion
2 large tomatoes
1 can green chilis
2 lids lime juice (or about 2 tsp)
2 lids olive oil (or about 2 tsp)
pepper & garlic salt to taste
Just chop up all the veggies and throw everything in a bowl. Mix it up really good and serve with corn chips.
that i’m going to start posting some of my favorite recipes on here. i’d like to say that i’ll post at least one per day, but i can’t guarantee that. i will say that i will try to post one every day…so on to the first recipe.
some pix of the yummy crawfish boil from yesterday…mmmm…makes me all hungry again.
